Accessing Hyvä CMS

Once installed, the Hyvä CMS Liveview Editor can be opened from supported Magento admin content forms and listings.

CMS Pages And Blocks

  • From listings: go to the Magento admin CMS page or block listing and click Add with Hyvä CMS.
  • From existing content: open a CMS page or block, set Enable Hyvä Editor to Yes, save, and click Edit with Hyvä CMS.

Liveview Editor

Product And Category Attributes

Open a product or category edit form, then use the Hyvä CMS panel to enable compatible attributes for Hyvä CMS editing. Save the entity before opening the editor.

Compatible attributes are normally rich text or textarea-style attributes, such as descriptions. The exact list is resolved by the installed compatibility rules.

Editor Entry Points

Inside the Liveview Editor, the Hyvä menu in the top-left gives access to workflows such as:

  • Templates and snippets
  • Transfer Center import/export
  • Translations
  • Editor preferences
  • Page Builder migration
  • Instance components, when the module and ACL permission are available

Common actions also have keyboard shortcuts, and each admin user can set their own editor preferences and favourites.

Main Modules

Hyvä CMS is composed of focused modules:

  • liveview-editor - the visual editor, preview system, component registry, version history, translations, and Tailwind JIT integration.
  • hyva-cms-magewire - the internal Magewire fork used by the admin editor.
  • magento-cms - CMS page and CMS block integration.
  • magento-attributes - product and category attribute integration.
  • components-base - the base component library.
  • scheduling - scheduled Hyvä CMS publication.
  • template - templates and snippets.
  • cms-import-export - Transfer Center import/export.
  • instance-components - database-backed instance components.

Content States

Hyvä CMS keeps content in distinct states:

  • Draft - saved work that is not live.
  • Published - content visible on the storefront.
  • Scheduled - content prepared for a future publication release.
  • Enabled/Disabled - whether Hyvä CMS output is active for that entity or attribute.

Disabling Hyvä CMS for a supported entity or attribute returns storefront output to the native Magento content for that item.
