Hyvä POS is in closed beta

Hyvä POS is currently in a closed beta (pilot phase) with a small group of merchants. It is not yet generally available: the App Store release follows the pilot, and features and configuration may still change - possibly in backwards-incompatible ways - before the general release. Do I need to install anything in Magento to use Hyvä POS? No. The free app works against any standard Magento 2.4.x store over the normal REST API. The Magento module is only needed for PRO.

My admin login fails from the app, but the password is right. The admin account has two-factor authentication (the Magento default). Use an integration token instead; integrations are not subject to admin 2FA.

Where are my receipts stored? On the device, always: every sale writes an immutable local receipt. On PRO, receipts also sync to Magento as a central archive. The Magento order exists in both tiers.

What happens when the internet goes down? On the free tier, sales need the store to be reachable. With PRO offline mode, the register keeps selling from its offline cache and syncs queued sales when the connection returns.

Can I move a PRO license to a new iPad? Yes. Activate the terminal on the new device (the old one is signed out), or create a new terminal and move the license to it in the admin. See terminals.

Which printer should I buy? See the hardware recommendations: the Epson TM-m30III for a one-cable counter, the Star mPOP for tight spaces, Brother RJ for mobile.

Does my barcode scanner work? Almost certainly: any Bluetooth scanner with HID (keyboard) mode works, and Socket Mobile / Zebra scanners have smoother native support. See barcode scanners.

Do gift cards bought online work at the register? On PRO, yes, including third-party gift-card modules through a bridge. One system, both channels.

Is there a cost per sale? No. PRO is a flat price per terminal. No percentage of sales, no per-user or per-SKU fees; your payment-provider contract stays your own.
