Hyvä POS is in closed beta

Hyvä POS is currently in a closed beta (pilot phase) with a small group of merchants. It is not yet generally available: the App Store release follows the pilot, and features and configuration may still change - possibly in backwards-incompatible ways - before the general release. Want to take part? Sign up at hyva.io/pos.

Hyvä POS runs on hardware merchants already know: standard receipt printers, kick-driven cash drawers, Bluetooth scanners and printer-attached customer displays. Everything on these pages works on the free tier unless marked otherwise.

Three Counter Setups That Just Work

The one-cable counter, Epson. An Epson TM-m30III powers the iPad over USB-C, prints receipts, kicks the cash drawer, and hosts the Epson DM-D30 customer display. One cable to the wall, no network dependency between iPad and printer.

The one-cable counter, Star. The Star equivalent: an mC-Print3, in the USB-C variant (MCP31CI / MCP31CBI), powers the iPad over USB-C, prints, kicks the drawer, and hosts the Star SCD222U display. Pick whichever brand your supplier stocks; the two setups are functionally the same counter.

The compact counter. A Star mPOP combines printer and cash drawer in a single chassis, powers the iPad over USB-C, and hosts the SCD222U display. Ideal when counter space is tight.

For markets and pop-ups, a Brother RJ mobile printer and a mobile payment terminal turn an iPhone into a complete register.

Coming from Shopify POS or Lightspeed?

There is a good chance you already own the hardware. The standard kit sold for Shopify POS and Lightspeed registers, Star mPOP, TSP100/TSP143 and mC-Print printers, Epson TM-m30 series, Socket Mobile scanners, and ordinary RJ11/RJ12 kick drawers, is largely the same hardware Hyvä POS supports.

That makes trying a migration close to free: keep the counter as it is, install the free app from the App Store, connect your Magento store, and ring a test sale on the hardware you already own. No new equipment, no subscription, no commitment while you evaluate.

Check your exact models against the printer and scanner lists before you rely on them; printer families ship in many SKU variants and a few of them are locked to a specific platform or lack an iPad connection.
