Changelog - AI Worker

All notable changes to AI Worker and AI Worker CMS are documented in this file.

The format is based on Keep a Changelog.

1.0.0 AI Worker - 2026-10-12

AI Worker runs long Hyvä AI requests outside Magento's PHP processes. Requires Hyvä AI (hyva-themes/magento2-module-ai) ^1.3.

Noteworthy change The worker settings have their own section and resource, Hyvä AI Worker Section (Hyva_AiWorker::config) under Stores > Settings > Configuration. A role with Content no longer reaches the worker URLs and secrets. The settings are stored under hyva_ai_worker/*, so if an earlier build was set up through the Hyvä AI section, enter the worker URLs and secrets again. See Setup.

1.0.0 AI Worker CMS - 2026-10-12

AI Worker CMS brings AI generation to Hyvä CMS. Requires Hyvä CMS 1.3.0, AI Worker and Hyvä AI ^1.3.

Noteworthy change AI Page Generation (Hyva_AiWorkerCms::generate) alone could publish a page. Generating into a page, block, snippet or template now also needs that entity's Save draft, or Publish when the generator publishes, and creating an instance component needs Instance components Save. A request without them is refused with a 403 and nothing is written. Check that roles which generate content also hold those resources.

Added

  • Preview and choose Magento CMS page layouts during AI generation, applying the selected layout only when accepting the page.
  • Refresh the generation slideout with active-theme color swatches and optional content and generation settings.
  • Allow a configured provider and registered model to be selected per generation and planning conversation.
  • Added direct plan generation and original/polished comparison to the existing generation views.
  • Read filtered storefront design tokens from the selected store theme and its parent themes for generation, planning and polish.
  • Added package-owned compiled CMS admin styles with optional optimized aggregate build support.

Changed

  • The Hyvä AI > Hyvä CMS settings section needs its own resource, Hyvä AI CMS Section (Hyva_AiWorkerCms::config) under Stores > Settings > Configuration, instead of Content.
  • The two AI generation resources, Hyva_AiWorkerCms::generate and Hyva_AiWorkerCms::instance_component_generate, now sit in an AI generation group under the Hyvä CMS node in System > Permissions > User Roles instead of under Content. The ids are unchanged, so roles that held them keep working.
  • Share generation defaults between initialization and reset, simplify strings and context URLs with modern JavaScript, and use native window events with lifecycle cleanup.
  • Remove redundant code comments while retaining PHPDoc, licenses and important implementation notes.

Fixed

  • Keep original content and healthy images during component repair, clear only confirmed missing image values before requesting AI corrections, and remove redundant hidden image placeholders.
  • Normalize generated CTA link expressions and SVG color fields before validation, and report remaining template errors without misclassifying them as protected-content changes.
  • Ignore late generation, regeneration and restore responses after cancellation or a newer run; stop immediately while a session is still being created.
  • Keep the selected AI model visible when retrying a generation.
  • Restore saved generation choices and registered models, retain full briefs for later refinement, and avoid enabling image and polish requests when older results have no saved settings.
  • Fit unstyled generated background images to their full-width containers without changing shared or explicitly styled images.
  • Translate descriptive palettes into valid Tailwind colors, apply section backgrounds explicitly, and preserve exact supplied copy without preset filler.
  • Prefer Page -- Full Width for complete AI page designs, isolate preview layout caches, and ignore stale preview requests when switching layouts.
  • Recover generated image tokens from raw image tags and empty image placeholders, preserving editable values and styling; clarify repair instructions for missing images.
  • Require a contrasting frosted panel or overlay behind text on image-backed banners during AI generation and polish, including mobile crops and a readable fallback without blur.
  • Repair confirmed missing image URLs instead of retaining broken images, and resolve local media across the configured and current store hosts.
  • Restore Plan conversation scrolling, prevent history-loading races, and require an explicit planning reply before generating its editable brief.
  • Restore the committed Generate with AI slideout layout while retaining generation validation, repair, planning, and model selection.
  • Convert generated literal images and photo backgrounds into editable image fields and retain decorative SVGs through component validation.
  • Allow polish to refine image and link styling without treating it as a field-schema change; validate the polished result before replacing the preview, distinguish image-cache notices from content-loss warnings, and retain the original on failure.
  • Remove the preset hero example and fixed palette/radius guidance from generation prompts; let expressive briefs drive composition and preserve their visual direction through polish.
  • Validate completed generations before enabling apply/save, attempt one markup repair with the validator's feedback, and keep existing sections when a regeneration fails validation.
  • Update planning replies as they stream and keep completed component subtrees visible while page generation continues.
  • Give written briefs precedence over preset layouts and treat selected resources as preferences. Preserve the original brief through polish and section regeneration.
  • Keep package admin utilities within AI templates and apply the same processing in build and watch mode.

Removed

  • Remove the module test suite and local QA fixtures.
