Licenses and Orders

This page shows all licenses you own. If you're a team member, it also shows all licenses owned by other team members. Click on any domain name to reveal:

  • Licensed products (Hyvä Theme, Hyvä Commerce, etc.)
  • Composer credentials (click "Show Composer Credentials" to access)
  • License expiration date
  • Auto-renewal status

Keep your credentials private

Your Composer key and packagist.com repository URL are tied to your license. Only share them with people working on your Hyvä project, and never commit them to a publicly accessible repository.

Adding a License

Click the "Add a license" button to open a modal with options for getting started with Hyvä products:

  • Hyvä Theme - Get a free license key that lets you use Hyvä Theme on any domain
  • Hyvä Commerce - Visit the product page to learn more and purchase a license
  • Other Hyvä Products - Explore Hyvä Checkout, Hyvä UI, Hyvä Enterprise, and more
  • Connect to your client(s) - Access the My Clients page to manage client relationships (managers only)

Transferring Your Licenses Between Accounts

As a license owner, you can transfer all licenses for a domain to another person. Here's what happens:

  • The recipient must have a registered Hyvä Portal account
  • Enter their email address in the transfer request
  • The transfer takes effect immediately
  • Both you and the recipient receive a confirmation email

Warning

If the recipient isn't part of your team, you'll lose access to that license after the transfer. Double-check the recipient's team membership before transferring.

A couple of things to know:

  • The transfer credentials don't change automatically. The new owner can use the existing credentials. Contact support if you need the credentials updated.
  • Only the current owner can initiate a transfer
  • If an owner's account becomes inaccessible, contact Hyvä support and we can transfer the license to another user within the same company

Requesting a Domain Change for Your License

You can request to move your license to a different domain. Here's the process:

  1. Click "Edit domain" next to the license you want to change
  2. Hyvä's team reviews your request
  3. You'll receive a confirmation email when approved
  4. The credentials stay the same, so no action is needed from you

Only the current owner can request a domain change. If you need to change a license you don't own, ask the owner to make the transfer first (see the section above).

Renewing Your License

If your license expires within 60 days or is already expired, a "Renew License" button appears. Clicking it opens a renewal window where you can select your new term and see the cost and new expiration date.

To complete the renewal:

  1. Click "Add to cart" in the renewal window
  2. Proceed through checkout with your preferred payment method
  3. You'll receive an order confirmation and invoice via email

About Automated Renewal

If you have automated renewal enabled, you can't manually renew the license. You'll need to cancel automatic renewal first, then use the manual renewal process.

Only the license owner can renew. If you need to renew a license you don't own, contact the owner or ask them to transfer it to you first.

Managing Automated Renewal

When you order or renew a license, you can choose automatic renewal. If enabled, your license renews automatically every year using your saved payment method (credit card or PayPal).

Control Your Renewals

You can stop automatic renewal anytime by clicking "Cancel" and confirming the cancellation. This gives you full control over when and how often your licenses renew.

Only the license owner can manage automatic renewal settings. To change this for a license you don't own, ask the owner or request a transfer.

Upgrading to Hyvä Commerce

Ready to level up? You can trade in your existing Hyvä Theme license(s) for a Hyvä Commerce license. Click "Upgrade to Hyvä Commerce" to add the upgrade to your cart, then finish checkout to complete the upgrade.

Only the license owner can initiate an upgrade. If you want to upgrade a license you don't own, request a transfer first.

Order History

The My Orders page lists all your past orders in one place, including:

  • Order status (pending, completed, etc.)
  • Order date
  • Billing address used
  • Licenses and products purchased

Invoices are sent by email with each order confirmation. To change the billing address used on future orders, see Your Account.
