Common questions about Adobe Commerce support, turning the merchandiser off, admin permissions, configuration scope, and per-admin preferences.

Does Category Merchandiser work with Adobe Commerce?

Not currently. Adobe Commerce ships its own Visual Merchandiser, which conflicts with Hyvä's merchandiser. A dedicated compatibility module for Hyvä Enterprise is coming soon to provide full Adobe Commerce compatibility.

Can I go back to Magento's default product grid?

Yes. Set Enable Visual Merchandiser to No and the "Products in Category" section falls back to Magento's own default grid. See Configuration.

Do admin users need an extra permission to use it?

No. Category Merchandiser uses the existing Magento_Catalog::categories permission that already governs managing categories. Anyone who can edit a category can use the merchandiser.

Can I configure it differently per website or store view?

No. Category Merchandiser's configuration only supports the default (global) scope, so the values are shared across the whole installation. Product status, visibility, and price shown in the grid do respect the store view currently selected on the category page. See Configuration.

If I change my personal settings, does that affect other admin users?

No. Grid columns, page size, minimum search length, add-to-top-or-bottom, and the search inclusion options can each be overridden per admin user. Your overrides are remembered the next time you open the merchandiser and leave both the site-wide defaults and other users' preferences untouched.

Will I lose changes if I navigate away without saving?

Category Merchandiser warns you before you leave the page with unsaved changes, so you can go back and save first.
