Upgrading to Hyvä Commerce 1.4.1

Hyvä Commerce 1.4.1 is a patch release with bug fixes and permission updates for seven modules: Advanced Admin Permissions, Store Credit, Hyvä CMS, Email & Newsletter Templates, Menu Builder, Form Builder and Linked Products. Hyvä Enterprise 1.4.1 and Hyvä Enterprise B2B 1.4.1 require Hyvä Commerce 1.4.1, so the steps on this page apply to them as well.

Follow the Commerce upgrade process to update the metapackage, or the Enterprise upgrade process for the Enterprise metapackages. The sections below list what to check before and after the upgrade. Modules without a section here need no action.

Store Credit

Store Credit 2.0.0 changes the storefront URLs from storecredit/ to store-credit/. The Store Credit page in My Account moves from storecredit/account to store-credit/account, and the old URLs return a 404.

  • Update links to the old URLs in CMS content, menus, email templates and custom templates.
  • URLs built with getUrl('storecredit/...') and layout handles such as storecredit_account_index keep working, because the route ID is still storecredit.
  • A custom sections.xml that adds sections to storecredit/cart/apply or storecredit/cart/remove must use store-credit/cart/apply and store-credit/cart/remove.

Linked Products

Linked Products 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 add permission checks. Grant the Linked Product Groups resources to custom admin roles and integrations before you upgrade:

  • Changing groups from the Product Edit page needs the Linked Product Groups create/edit permission. See Import Permissions.
  • On Adobe Commerce, Linked Product Groups imports through POST /V1/import/csv and POST /V1/import/json check the token's Linked Product Groups permissions, and asynchronous REST imports of Linked Product Groups are refused. Move them to the CLI import or a Scheduled Import run by cron.
  • Exporting Linked Product Groups from System → Data Transfer → Export, and downloading or deleting their export files, needs the Linked Product Groups view permission as well as Export. See Export Permissions.

After upgrading, rebuild the styles of your Hyvä themes, because the swatch styles changed. See Generating CSS.

A product that is the only one left in its group now leaves the group when it is saved from the Product Edit page without adding linked products. See When the Product Is the Only One Left in Its Group.

Advanced Admin Permissions

Advanced Admin Permissions 1.0.1 only consults a custom ScopeEntityGuardInterface or ScopeWriteRuleInterface for an entity that has a scope column, a link table or scope data, or whose model class is registered in the scopedEntityTypes argument of ScopeApplicability. If you have a custom guard or write rule for any other entity, register the entity class before you upgrade. Otherwise a restricted admin can open and save that entity, and nothing is logged. Hyvä CMS

Hyvä CMS 1.3.2 and 1.3.3 change several constructors, one interface and two admin templates. Check custom code that extends or overrides them:

  • Classes that extend Hyva\CmsLiveviewEditor\Model\Url\Urls, the attribute, category, CMS page or CMS block providers, Hyva\CmsTemplate\Model\Service\ProcessTemplatePreview, Hyva\CmsTemplate\Model\CoreSettings\Template or Hyva\CmsTemplate\Model\CoreSettings\Snippet.
  • Classes that implement Hyva\CmsLiveviewEditor\Api\ConfigInterface.
  • Admin themes or modules that override Hyva_CmsLiveviewEditor::page/js/widget-handler.phtml or Hyva_CmsLiveviewEditor::widget/content.phtml.
